Welcome, to Daisy's Animal Friends

Having had pets from a young age, a love for wildlife and nature and having worked as a Veterinary Care Assistant, on farms and as a Zoo Keeper, I am more than aware of the joy animals can bring to people.

From taking the family dog at the time, Rosie, into the care home when visiting my Nannan, I saw the happiness she brought to people. Working at the Vet’s I saw the love and care that people have for their animals and also from doing animal experiences with people visiting the zoo, I never got tired of seeing peoples faces light up when interacting with an animal.

Whilst studying Animal Care at collage I set up a cleaning and pet visiting service, focusing on supporting older people. I took the family dog, Daisy the Cockapoo, with me on some cleaning visits and she just seemed to know when people wanted to play or when people wanted to cuddle. Daisy was a very special dog, my best friend, who sadly died of cancer aged 10 in October 2023, leaving a massive hole in my life and my heart.

This all fed into the inspiration for setting up Daisy’s Animal Friends.
